Forming the Association

The National Association of Health and Educational Facilities Finance Authorities is the Association created from the merger of the National Council of Health Facilities Finance Authorities and the National Association of Higher Educational Facilities Authorities in 2008. NAHEFFA and its two predecessor associations have been on the forefront of advocacy and support for issuers of tax-exempt financing for health and educational providers.

NAHEFFA Focus

The Association promotes the common interest of organizations which have the authority to provide capital financing for not-for-profit healthcare and higher education institutions and facilitates national advocacy, support, networking and education on behalf of its members. NAHEFFA focuses its efforts on issues which directly influence the availability of, or access to tax-exempt financing for healthcare and higher educational institutions.

Membership

NAHEFFA currently has 41 members representing 34 states. The Association seeks members who have the authority to provide capital financing for not-for-profit healthcare and higher education institutions as well as any public or not-for-profit private entity which has a primary purpose for its existence the provision of health care or educational services. Please visit the Membership page for more information about becoming a NAHEFFA member.
